Located in The Racquet Club Estates neighborhood just minutes from Palm Springs’ uptown design district near the newly opened Arrive Hotel and Draughtsman restaurant. Built in 1959 by the Alexander Construction Company and designed by famed architect William Krisel, The Avenida is a thoughtfully updated home filled with modern amenities that compliment the mid-century modern design.
As you enter through the front gate into a private courtyard, a path into the beautifully landscaped back yard greets you. A panoramic view of the San Jacinto Mountains is the dramatic backdrop to poolside lounge areas and a striking outdoor fireplace. After a dip in the pool, hang your towel in the casita and rinse off in the walk-in shower. Enjoy fresh fruit from the “cocktail orchard” and barbecue a feast to serve at the covered outdoor dining table.
Inside is a bright open living space, a modern kitchen and dining area with views out to the pool. A cozy living room is centered on a second fireplace and opens onto the covered side patio. Two bedrooms are located along the hallway with a guest bath to share and a large master bedroom suite with a sunken walk-in shower is at the end of the hall. Enjoy luxurious bedding, plush bath towels, memory foam mattresses, high-end toiletries and two levels of pillow softness to chose from.
When the sun sets behind the mountains, relax by the outdoor fireplace as the pool and landscape lights create a romantic ambiance. Morning, noon and night, The Avenida is the perfect Palm Springs retreat.
Wi-Fi internet, cable TV, Sonos sound system and a waterproof bluetooth speaker are available for use. A washer & dryer is in the hallway with detergent stocked in the entryway closet. Should you need to work while on vacation (we hope not) one of the guest bedrooms has a desk for your laptop and a printer is located in the TV console, accessible via Wi-Fi.
